It was just like the Billy Goats Gruff, except the troll was smiling. Kind of.

In which you get to see wildlife in action, pretty much the same way you would if David Attenborough was showing you.

Remember those first photos you took that were of an insect or something that came out really badly when you finally got the photos back in the post? Yep, this is pretty much one of them, except that frankly today's youth (my jammy nephew)are lucky to have crystal clear digital shots.

There are two lizards in this photo. 

(Right by the top two holes if you can't see them).

We saw them near Portland Bill. 

Most exotic for Dorset. 

We didn't just hang out on my bed all summer. We did other things too.

We went to the lighthouse a few times (that'd be Portland Bill for those of you that know), it's an awfully good one.

It's just lovely down there when the sun shines.

I may have been awfully forgetful about blogging but I had a fabby couple of weeks with my nephew. And that is totally delicious.

We hung out a lot, me and the lovely boy (and my sister of course, but you know, she is great and all, but he is so darn cute). 

Of course, looking at those pictures, it is entirely possible we hung out too much.

Poor neglected blog.. it totally isn't my fault though. Honest injun.

It's his fault. He has distracted me for the last two weeks. 

Irresistible.

Saturday snapshot: one where I pretend to be a holy madonna with child, but fail, but I do have a little baby.

Look at me, I'm all beseeching. Or supplicant. Or something that I know what it means.

That little baby is a lot bigger now. Lucky he is still awfully sweet.

Yeah, if the wind changes, he'll be stuck like that...

Although looking at that last one, pretty sure I should be careful too...

He's my nephew and he wears a hat well. I don't see him so very often, but obviously that's not the reason I like him ....
