A Sunday-something-to-lust-after..

I have had a little crush on a rather lovely dress for a while now.

The only picture of it I can find is this one, worn by Kelly Osbourne (totally love her grey hair with it).

The company is called Honor, they have lots of lovely things on their website and some equally lovely models. Including this pretty lady - it isn't such a huge big thing - but yeay to them for using an actual older model. That doesn't happen so very much. 

A Sunday-something-to-lust-after.

Oh my, it is wedding dress season, or more accurately the big fashion houses are coming out with their 2013 Bridal Collections. Now I want to get married again. I didn't wear a white dress - I got married in navy and sparkly gold in Vegas and then wore a brown and gold 50s flowery dress to our wedding celebration in England.

It must be my turn to wear a big white dress.

Something pretty to make me smile.

We got the keys to our new house on Tuesday evening so yesterday was the first day of painting. There will be many more days of painting and whilst I'm not complaining, I don't really want to think about it for very long... Plus it snowed again today. I mean, really.

So, let's forget that and think about these pretty, pretty summery things.

A short musing on a veritable invasion.

Recently there has been a small but significant trickle of big old hollywood stars doing an ad in Norway. Presumably a pretty lucrative ad where they get some pretty big bucks and they aren't overexposed in an 'inappropriate' market.

Reese Witherspoon did an ad campaign for Lindex last autumn.

And now it is Gwyneth Paltrow's turn.

Lindex is a Swedish owned high street store, so it is a bit like them doing ads for Dorothy Perkins or Forever 21. Which probably wouldn't happen.. Fair play to the ladies though, why not, etc.

The best ad to have come out of this mini wave is this one for a Norwegian bank..

'Some people are lucky in life, for the rest of us saving up can be smart'.

I love the look on the woman's face, she looks delightfully shocked the whole way through and I rather suspect she wasn't acting too much.

Oh dear. I seem to have a problem.

I think there ought to be a 12 step programme actually.

I have too many pairs of jeans. I mean, given that I wear them pretty much every day it isn't repulsive, but I haven't counted them up. I'm not too keen to know what the answer is. Probably distinctly over 50 pairs. You know, if we count the two pairs of chinos I have. Because that will probably make all the difference. Tip it over the edge, that kind of thing. That is quite possibly repulsive actually.

That is, of course, a shamefaced lie. This is a 
very arty exhibition.

I am trying to be very house-cleary and really trying to pare things down but I am not very good at it. It's like I have been through a war and rationing and have to keep things for just-in-case.

In my defence, some of them are years old, plus shopping is totally my hobby, plus I love jeans.

I have got rid of 7 pairs so far, which doesn't seem like very many, but it is a start, and I haven't finished the Great Sort Through.
